We do a lot of reading here at Convergent1 — and a lot of blogging. As the head of Search Engine Marketing, it’s my job to keep up with the latest trends and changes happening in the industry. I read dozens of blogs a day on a variety of topics. One of those topics is blogging. There are some truly phenomenal blogs out there that can teach you anything imaginable about blogging.
After giving you my list of favorite blogs about WordPress it makes sense to give you my favorite blogs about blogging. The sites on this list are my personal favorites not necessarily the best. I read every day these articles daily, and depend on them for valuable news, tips, and insights. They are ranked in no particular order.
1. Problogger
The Problogger is one of the most highly respected blogs about blogging there is. Darren Rowse started Problogger back in 2002 and the wealth of knowledge that he’s compiled on the site since then is mind-blowing. If you wanna know about blogging Problogger should be your first stop.
2. Daily Blog Tips
I’ve been reading Daily Blog Tips for years. The name pretty much says it all. Another site with an astounding wealth of knowledge.
3. Copyblogger
Copyblogger is another one of the most popular and well-respected blogs about blogging. Besides being gorgeous it’s an amazing resource for advice on content marketing, writing good copy and crafting awesome headlines.
4. The Blog Herald
Since 2003 The Blog Herald has been churning out top-notch news, information, tips, and commentary on the blogging industry. This site should be on everyone’s reading list.
5. Bloggingpro
This site has great advice on how to become a better writer, blog post ideas, and even a blogger jobs board.
6. ChrisG
Chris Garrett is a blogging guru of the highest order. He’s written for some of the most well respected blogs in the world. He’s also written some excellent books. When he speaks you should listen.
7. How To Make My Blog
Awesome tips, tricks, news, and commentary is what you will find at How To Make My Blog. Good advice on plugins and tools too.
8. Blogtrepreneur
This blog not only covers the ins and outs of blogging but also social media and business development tips. You can spend a lot of time on this site.
9. Write To Done
If you want to learn how to write well this is the blog to follow. The sole focus of Write to Done is making you a better writer.
10. Lorelle on WordPress
This is another one I’ve been reading for years. Lorelle is a true expert on blogging, writing, and most definitely WordPress.
